In many many cases for library materials there simply is no texture to insert, and therefore it remains unchanged. This is advantageous, for instance, if you are applying the library material "Chrome" from the NK metals but you want the chrome in your scene to remain looking like that fake default shiny metal in SU. Then you have the best of both worlds.

If you replace a stone in SU with a library Stone texture it will insert the image if you right-click the library containing a texture and choose "Texture To SketchUp" in the context menu.
Thanks for taking the trouble to reply Fletch.
Of the 151 materials in the Libraries, including Lampshade II, only 4 have textures as far as I can tell (those in Architectural).
There isnt a "Stone" category in my Libraries, although there is in Templates.

Perhaps the way to use Library materials is to create a material in SU, naming it the same as the Library material, giving it a distinctive appearance that can be recognized in normal view of SU, and apply that SU material to the faces in the model. Then apply the equivalent Twilight Library material.
Thanks again.

Seems odd, we will look into this issue. Have you tried if problem persists after right-clicking the library material containing a texture and choosing "Texture To SketchUp"?
I didnt do it that way, and yes, if it is done that way (Texture to Sketchup) the texture does change.
Thanks.

This is a very good workflow. :^:
