Hi, Im currently working on the material library at my new job and was wondering if its possible to lock TR attributes and bump etc to a certain texture so that it can be used without having to do any adjustments in other models?
Sorry about the noob question, ive just started using TR =)
Regards.

Locking TR attributes to custom textures in SU?
Re: Locking TR attributes to custom textures in SU?
Unfortunately, this is an issue inside SketchUp. When you edit a material using Twilight Render's material editor, the TWR attributes are stored directly into the material. So anytime you use that material in your model, the same TWR properties go with it. However, when you try to save/export materials to a SketchUp material library (.skm), SketchUp doesn't save any of the extra information. A fix request was filed a long time ago with SketchUp but they have never fixed it.
The typical workaround for this is to create a scene with a bunch of small faces, and each face with a different material. You can then either use that model as your starting template or you can import it into your scene. Alternatively, from the Twilight Render material editor, under the Tools menu of the editor window, you can select "Import Material Attributes". You then select a folder that contains Twilight/Kerkythean material library files. Twilight Render will import those files and any material it finds with the same name as a material in the library, it will copy the TWR properties into it.
