Resolution size

Would you say that TR is similar to Kerkythea in the resolution sizes it can support?

The next update will improve the resolution sizes. Currently it is not capable of rendering as big as Kerkythea. The update will improve memory usage but SketchUp will always use a fair amount of memory on it's own.

It all depends on your computer (in particular RAM available) AND the scene you're going to render, the textures/materials used etc...
I.e. if you're using high res textures, you'll need a lot RAM...

I'd say that 4000 x 4000 shouldn't be a problem for most, but once again it will depend on your computer and scene...

Having said that, I must say that I don't find this being a limitation... It's really rare that I need a render above 3000 x 2000 and in those very few cases, I use Adobe PS to re-size it... I've never had a problem with this and I've made renders that have been used on 300 x 200 cm billboards... ;)

I would like to give an easy answer, unfortunately in my testing it is completely dependent on the scene.

the # of, and resolution of, the textures has more to do with effecting size limit of resolution.
We have rendered 4000x4000... but again, depends on many factors.
