Revert back to a previous version

Post by anagurney » Sun Jul 31, 2016 4:39 pm

How can I revert back to a previous version of V2. I downloaded the 2.5 update and I don't like it!

/: It's not that much different than 2.4... what differences there are are mostly around templates, post-pro, auto-templates, etc. (and frankly those are all good things).

Unless you mean V1? If so, you can find the installers for Twilight Render V1 at the very bottom of this page: https://www.twilightrender.com/index.ph ... -render-v1
Note that V1 was never 64 bit compatible so it can't be used with x64 SU 2015 and 2016. It's certainly understandable if you prefer V1 (especially as a V1 license holder); we left behind the "themed" look of V1 and went toward popups instead which I agree aren't for everyone.

Okay, thanks. FYI, I tried using V2.5's new templates and they didn't work. High reflection yielded only a dull finish even after adjusting the shininess. Other templates yielded only black finishes when rendered. Other templates didn't change the material at all. I've been using Sketch Up 2014 and 2015 with the same results in both.

'High reflection' isn't a template, so I'm guessing you mean Perfect Reflection -> High? It works fine for me. Please post an example scene of templates that aren't working right because if something is broken we want to fix it. (BTW, if Perfect Reflection is what you mean, it's been part of the template list for a very long time; it's not one of the new ones.)

Sounds like you have a reversed face in your geometry of your scene.
Change to Monochrome view and reverse and back faces, paint front faces only with SU materials and then apply Twilight Render Materials Templates.
