It is possible to work with my old KT lights components?

Re: KT lights
I'm not sure what you mean here...
Are you talking about IES-lights...??
If so then YES - of course you can use these with TWR...
Have you remembered to merge using the dialog in KT, where lights are seperate...

So... You export from TWR to an XML file, which you then open in KT - right...??lexmonteiro wrote:When I export or merge my old projects the lights does not work, how can I fix that?

Re: KT lights
Yes, I export the model from TWR to xml than I use the KT exporter to create a xml with my pointlights, then merge both xml, the lights appear in the KT but its not working.
I am sending the printscreen of KT.
Look Ligh is enable, it appear in the display and dont render.

Re: KT lights
Pointlights can NOT have IES info associated with them... so something is clearly not right with the process you are using if it's an IES issue.
If it's a problem with merging, try this:
When you open your file in Kerkythea, be sure the .ies file is IN THE SAME FOLDER AS THE .XML FILE.
IES are exporting correctly with Twilight as shown here same scene rendered with both.
Try opening the Light Editor Dialog inside Kerkythea, and verify that the IES file is loaded correctly.
If it's a problem with merging, try this:
- Delete all lights from Kerkythea scene
- RE-Export using Twilight XML=>Export function be sure to say "yes" when it asks to overwrite texture files.
- Inside Kerkythea Go to File>Merge and set dialog options like this
- Click "OK" then browse to the newly exported file.

Re: KT lights
Hi, Fletch, I have tried do do everything like you said, but didn't work.
In the original model there are no IES lights, just the KT poitntlighs, the ceiling4.
I have changed de radius of the point lighs in Kt and it worked, but I had to change more than 100 poinlighs manually
I saw in your attachments some TWR lighs, can you share?
Thanks again!

Re: KT lights
so... the radius of the light was the problem?
couldn't you change this easily in TWL and re-export? or are you saying that the radius is not exporting correctly?
you can group all similar lights in KT, then change the main 'group' light, and all others in the group will change.
The light packages will be released very soon...

In this case It works.

I use only sun light and "KT lights" in my model, I could not export properly using the TWL. The point lights does not appear in KT.

This is fantastic, thanks for this information!

This is a good news!
I'll wait for the new lights, and I'll use them in my new projects and I'm sure it will work properly!
