Piggy Bank 2.0
Piggy Bank 2.0
Now that I can sit again for longer periods, although without my orthopedic cushion, is time to get back to the "drawing board" and recover things and ideas stalled.
This one is new... hope you get a laugh.

Re: Piggy Bank 2.0
Aside from rendering, I am amazed by your modeling and texturing skills!

Thank you Alvydas and Majid.
The roundness of the Bump is due to adding gaussian blur to the alpha layers of symbols, etc.
Only the Smartphone is from 3D Warehouse.
The build of the piggy bank geometry is simple. Started with stretched spheres (poles to the sides), curviloft to extrude the legs, roundcorner to make conections. The texturing is not a common UV Mapping, I only had to chose the quads to paint the eyes, mouth and symbols. I think we should know by now, that instead creating the color matching the background of a texture like this to paint the rest, we can make a square or rectangle over the solid color zone of the type of texture I used and make it unique. If given both the same material parameters it will render fine (at least with TLR) without distinguishing the edges between them.by majid » Thu Jun 01, 2023 8:57 pm
