Subject: Lighting in glass cabinet with multiple glass shelves
Here's an approach you may try (download .skp file below)- eliminate the point light, replace it with a wide spot light to fill the puck light with some light and cast light outward at the top similar to the point light you have now.
Add additional spots for full control of other throw from that light (assuming you don't have the ies file for the actual puck light you were using - that would be ideal).
