On a lot of my renders, at various qualities and views, a number of black squares appear, just as the render is finished. The render is perfect until I hear the ding indicating that it's finished, then immediately the black dots appear.
I read on another post that it might have something to do with mirrors and reflective surfaces so I deleted the mirror in the scene but it made no difference. Then I deleted the table lamp, which was metallic, but still they appear. I'm uploading a few renders....
Anyone got any ideas?
Black pixels (squares) appear on a render just as it finishes.
Re: Black pixels (squares) appear on a render just as it finishes.
I've only seen this when the rendering is completing very quickly on a multi-threaded machine.
Increase (double) the rendering resolution, and the problem should disappear.
Or, disable one of the threads on your machine... so if it has 8 render threads, set it to 7 instead.
You set the number of threads in the Advanced tab of the Render window by un-checking the "Always use maximum suggested threads" box and then setting the number of threads you want to use below that.
