U have a small courtyard type dwelling in mind with a water feature rather than a pool. Something more modest.

I am not an architect, I always wanted a home of my own rather than renting. It did not and will not happen so, I make believe. Draw and render things which resemble a house of an apartment but will never be genuine architecture. Waiting for the latest health issue to be either cancer or not with not being the less likely result.

I am going to be blunt, the 'pictures' I make do a lot to fill a hole and they distract me from the stuff that is going on with doctors etc, they do this with your input and I don't mean telling me stuff is good when frankly I need a different direction and to inspect what I put on the chair less and the screen more.

I'm sorry I am not an architect or someone who fits into a box, I do the best I know how.

The water feature here is made using different layers of texture to create a whole and not there yet.

pretty cool looking :^: reminds me of a large public fountain that used to be in Milwaukee, next to the Northwestern Mutual building, but now they rebuilt that area and there are no photos I can find.

Needs a ground plane to keep the sky from shining up on the feature from below.

Don't forget the "fountain" water material pack by Majid.

Thanks Fletch, I tend to go in all sorts of odd directions, hence the gum texture for the ice cube I did some time ago.

There is logic in there but the prescription glasses to see it are not included. Sometimes decent results come from going into left field.

Ground field. I know, I found I had deleted it somehow after the fact. When the courtyard floor is replaced I think it will make sense. The 'water' fall has two faces with the 'moss' being on the second face rather than on the waterfall object itself.

Trying a bit of foamy water at the base of each 'fall' and I need to come up with a better texture. The fountain elements I tried are out of wack with the solution I am looking for. Two facets as for the ice cube may help but I will leave that for later in the day when my brain is more capable of computations more demanding than 1 plus 1.

Here's my exploration with this idea, hope I'm not stepping on your toes, it is just for fun, maybe can help you in some way if you want, I've attached the .skp for you.

G'day mate,

No stepping on toes, I am so far into fantasy land you would need a space shuttle to catch up.

Looking at the base of the water 'fall' at the moment and nothing is close so far but getting somewhat nearer.

Let me know if you need ET a message forwarding and I'll drop it off on the way past.......

Ta Fletch.

I have moved things on a bit. Hopefully.

I know I am lacking in ability with these HDRI type setups, that and any garden knowledge whatsoever. My mum insisted I help weed her garden many years ago, I say, I don't know a weed from a flower and she say's, "Weeds only have one master root". :wall: When I say I would have to dig everything up to find out she finally dropped the matter.

Trying to find a slightly less uniform flower bed and textures. Hmmm. I should be doing a final render in about 2099 then.
