Here's the scene I was thinking about that shows how I use a background billboard for my views outside of interior windows. Maybe it can be useful? Maybe not.

Thanks Fletch, I'll look into it, I used to do that a long time ago. Now I feel very old.

I have replaced the lighting scheme. The original lights (Emitter surface type) with ies, the original remain as fake emitters.

I also knocked the value of the light with the ies file to 70%, either that or buy some welders goggles to look at the screen and that is likely, not.

I have also found an unexpected benefit. Render time is halved or better.
