Well, it’s a beginning. It is a good application but a little difficult to learn because of the many/complex features. You have inspired me though. It is also harder to use with a mouse instead of using a pen and/or tablet.

BTW Can we/you go back and change the subject of some of the posts in the Alphaber Inspired Sketches thread so it does not distract from your original subject?

I believe the subjects are separates by admin(s).

OK - but it looks like you have already accomplished what I was thinking. I went over to the other thread and it looks like you did a good job of moving the distractive posts. Thanks........this will preserve your original thread. I will go off and look at some more tutorials. What little I have seen from your books has given me a few more thoughts.

OK - I get it now Here is what I came up with based on your example and the images you just shared.

And still some more playing around/learning. Combination of experimenting with brushes and filling. Obviously this is going to take some time, patience, and learning.

The fact is that, rarely do people paint everything from scratch. They use reference images and benefit real texture/images. It is called matt painting. So now it would be wise, watching some matte painting videos on youtube.

Thanks Majid…. I will watch them also. In particular the ones related to perspective. I do not have Photoshop. I have an older version of Xara Graphic and Photo Designer that allows you to a lot of the same things. The images posted before was a lot of “playing around” with brushes and other stuff to “explore” Krita a little more. I also have to learn how to manage layers so that they do not blend together like happened in the last image.

My goal is to learn how to “capture/visualize” some ideas (hopefully alphabet inspired) before I start bringing them to life in SketchUp and Twilight Render.

Also, it is a while since I am using the Photopea website instead of photoshop. They all share similar ideas and approaches. The concept is to keep the job well-arranged and neat. This helps building up the whole job.
