My ultimate goal is to create some photorealistic renderings of solar arrays that could look similar to the three images at the end of this post.
In the three images, you'll observe that the sun itself is observed in the reflections (to various degrees). How can I get the reflection of the sun to show up in the render? Do I need to put a sun in the skybox? A big pointlight really far away? Is there a good trick to do this? I can always add lens flares and such in Photoshop later, but the actual direction reflection of the sun is what I'm seeking.
Reflecting the sun itself?
Re: Reflecting the sun itself?
Use an HDRI instead of Sun/Sky. The HDRI spherical image must have the sun in it already.
