Jaguar XJSS.
Jaguar XJSS.
Only sixteen of these beauties built before the fire at the Brown's lane plant in 1957. There have been continuation cars built recently but these are in the region of £1m each, or now more than that with them all being sold.
Hoping to have the engine and drivetrain in view but need better blueprints, asking Jaguar for resources but so far, no play. The XK engine in these was a 3.4L straight six which I can attest to, has a glorious howl up the Goodwood hill.
HDRI etc when I have a bit mkore texturing done and some more lighting.

Re: Jaguar XJSS.
More place holders replaced and some more texturing.
A weird artifact over the garage door part of the hdri Texturing the details is going on rather longer thahn I hoped but one piece before the next etc.
Yes, despite the weird need to scale the model up X 10, I do like the hdri.

Re: Jaguar XJSS.
Heading in a good direction. I saw your comments on the SketchUcation forum and I think the comments were right on.
Re: Jaguar XJSS.
looking great
need some love on the tail light material and the back bumper model looks low poly/bad mesh.

Re: Jaguar XJSS.
Ta Fletch, yes agreed. The tail light lens is something I am looking for the right effect. Time. Building proper dash buttons etc rather than place holders too and the central element of the rear bumper may need a redo from start. Annoying but doable.
I may also go for chrome on the bumpers.

Re: Jaguar XJSS.
Well, rounder and weirder it goes. I have cured the ? bad gemoetry? by the simple expedient of, hiding it.
The new render wears the registration JNH 809, that of the car owned by a very famous American actor who bought one of the original (16) cars.
Artifacts still and while I have reduced the model to actual size, it appears not to be a problem at this time.
Tomorrow, well likely to go back to the confuscious period rather than the Edo.
Brake lights fixed in the second render. The tail light fairings are the same (Chrome) finish as the bumpers which makes the result a little odd.
