G'day,

Trying to 'project' the fresnel lense of a headlight, using png transparency to reduce clutter in the projected image but it displpays in the light editor as a black box image.

Just a thought that it might be interesting in a garage render of the Dusenberg.

Never mind Fletch, must have been a Twiglet zone thing or a symptom of the on/off issues with the pc, works fine today.

Obviously the Tuesday thing working in nreverse.........

Related. Having decided that projecting an image will take a long time and the illusion will be faster/almost as good. How do I scale the projected light? Is this related to the size of the emiting component?

It being Tuesday, I shall of course expect the pc to do something completely different on Wednesday.........

Very interesting, turned off sky etc to reduce light 'clutter' and focus on the method.

Obviously, being a ignorant person, I left the lights on upstairs. Typical.

Still moving in on a result but moving forwards.

My excuse for the lights is living in a ground floor flat........

I 'had' the illumination cone sorted, made a render to test and the system said the quivalent of "You must be joking, you don't weant to do it like that......".

Something went wrong and returned to system norms. Bugger, oh well, tring can be fun. Just ask my old mum, she thought I was always successful.
