Is it possible to render face me components with shadow face sun/light?
A small test showed the shadow didnt work that way by default.

Sadly, this is, at least according to my understanding, an openGL SketchUp visual "trick" and not, therefore something that will be possible at the moment in Twilight... but we will take a look and see what can be done.

Fletch is right that this is a visual 'trick' in SketchUp. Because Twilight uses actual geometry to cast shadows, the shadows will always correspond to the 'real' orientation of the model / geometry.

Would it be possible to have geometry that is only visible for the shadow calculation ?

I'll look into it. If it is possible, it will only be possible for the biased methods, which means it won't work for any of the progressive methods (like Easy->Interior, Easy->Exterior). Those methods, being completely 'physically' based, don't allow for those things.
