Lost Render Dialog [RESOLVED]
Lost Render Dialog [RESOLVED]
Hi there,
My Render dialog is gone. The Light Editor dialog works, the materials dialog works, and the options dialog works. But the render dialog is gone. It was there, but now it won't come back. I'm not sure what I did, if anything.
I hit the Reset Dialog button, no help. I closed and restarted SketchUp - no go. I un-installed and re-installed Twilight - same things. What do I try now? I guess I'll uninstall twilight and sketchup and see...
(There are no errors in the Ruby console when pressing the toolbar buttons.)
Thanks.

Re: Lost Render Dialog
Ooohhh... There's no need for you to un-install and re-install everything...
It's more simple than you can imagine...
Click the "Open Twilight Render" icon...
In the menu-bar click "View" and then select "Settings"...
Voila you have your render settings back...

Re: Lost Render Dialog
well, if I understand correctly the Render Window with the menu bar itself is completely missing? Like it was completely moved off to the side of the screen and now you can't reach/see it?
If that is the problem, you can try resetting the resolution of your computer screen so that it is of a higher resolution, and therefore makes all windows smaller... then re-open sketchup, and try opening the Twilight Dialog and move it back onto the screen... in the middle of the sketchup window.
Then you should be able to change your screen res. back to original size.

Re: Lost Render Dialog
I decided I didn't want to re-install Sketchup, so I didn't try that.
But yes, that is correct - the render window is no longer visible and my screen is already at max resolution. So I don't know - if twilight isn't the problem I need to find out how to locate and move the dialog back into view.
Thanks for the reply.

Re: Lost Render Dialog
I found a freeware app called ForceWindowVisible that did the trick.
Re: Lost Render Dialog
Great work, Jim! If you can give us an idea how it was lost, we may be able to force them back internally somehow.
Re: Lost Render Dialog
Hi jim,
Sorry about the inconvenience. Twilight does remember where you last placed the render dialog, even after exiting SU. So if it somehow got pushed off screen, it would be tough to get back. I'll make sure we address that issue in the future.

No ones fault but my own, I would guess. Thanks for the followup.Chris wrote:Sorry about the inconvenience.
Re: Lost Render Dialog
ps - Jim,
If you close the render dialog, your rendering will continue to work/render... so no need to move it out of the way to work, just close the dialog. To get it back again, then you would just hit the green Power Button on the Twilight Toolbar.
