Hi All

These are a couple of render tests I did to showcase a couple of mirror materials. One is an antique mirror and the other one is a dusty mirror effect. I have attached both material libraries for use with Twilight and Kerkythea respectively. I hope you could find some use for them in your renders.
Regards,
Sergio

Thanks for the mat. Btw are you using standard library mat for the brushed steel?

Great renders Sergio. :^: Really nice materials!

Have you tried to make a dusty glass looking material? Could you try with this model?

For this scene I used the NK metal library (Aluminium & Steel) except for the bronze, which I did on my own in twilight material editor with a scratched metal bump map

Thank you Fletch for introducing me to Twilight :^: . I will certainly give it a go :) BTW the antique mirror uses a procedural but the dusty mirror have a bitmap that can be scaled to suit individual needs.
Cheers

" the dusty mirror have a bitmap that can be scaled to suit individual needs"

I believe if you look at the folder where you installed the material, you will find the dust bitmap, and it will need to be applied in your model in order to give the material the proper UV map for the texture.

OK, found the texture and applied it in the original size.

but the mirror still looks the same.

looks like the texture mapping is possibly not applied correctly in the material library definition, you will need to open the material library in KT and fix mapping and save the library after you get it working correctly... we did not create this material, it was shared by Sergio.
