Hello all. I don't know if I'm off topic, or even writing something new in TW forum but in my path to find a ies file of a traditional lightbulb for a scene, I found to be hard to find free bulbs ies files.
When combing other forums I discovered that we can download Eulumdat files here « http://www.olino.org/us/ov/lamps » and convert them to IES files with the freeware « eulumcnv.exe » that can
be found here « http://www.helios32.com/resources.htm » . Hope I've helped, and see feedback about it soon.

This is because IES files are specifically created to show the light distribution of a light fixture, not of a light bulb. I, too, have looked for IES files for certain bulb types, even asking manufacturers and engineers. They said they do not have anything like that.

Let us know/please share if you are able to get IES files for certain light bulbs.

Hello,
I find some IES files :
http://www.holophane.com/hlp_library/photometrics.asp
http://www.erco.com/products/download/o ... ire/25_ies
http://www.sla.net.au/?i=16/design
http://www.cooperindustries.com/content ... files.html
Cheers

Edit : and for ERCO, there are some 3ds files .It's the collection of their lamps which go with the IES files.

Well, for those who did not understand or have been lost around the links I shared (links that provide access not only to lightbulbs files but also to a lighting paraphernalia) here are some I've converted. https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B70NVk ... lJnMmlNX1E

Fletch, I don't understand the 90deg at the end of the files name, when the product specifications on the site page shows around 300deg light dispersion.

Please, can someone with a quick machine test them for us ?
