Re: V2 How Fast Are You - Official Twilight Scene - Bauhaus
Ihsan,
Please render using Low, not Low+, so that we can compare render times with other systems. Please also try with Medium and High, just as with everyone else so that we can compare. It is important to run a longer render like the "high" render setting so that we can see how it performs under sustained load.

Intell Xeon CPU E5-1607 v2 @ 3.00GHZ
16GB 1333Mhz
System just restarted and nothing was running....I got the same results of people with half of my Ram.....how can I improve my computer...without buying a new one?

Re: V2 How Fast Are You - Official Twilight Scene - Bauhaus
According to Intel's website, this cpu only has 4 cores and 4 threads, so it is going to be slower than most 4 core machines which are hyperthreaded, meaning it has 4 cores, but 8 threads... such as a Corei7.
RAM is great for multitasking, that is, you can render, and still do other work. But it does not actually compute anything for the rendering. It only keeps the information in instant access memory.
So it is the number of threads in the CPU that is most important.
Look at other computers earlier in this thread, and see how many cores/threads they have.
