Hello All. Just joined and just downloaded Twilight. I am a former Kerkythea user so I think the transition should be pretty easy and I can already tell that this is 100x easier to use.
I was wondering if anyone here has tried to make a Kalwall material or object. If you are not familiar, Kalwall is a translucent wall panel that is made up of two sheets of fiberglass reinforced sheets (not 'plastic' according to the company) over a grid core. The cavity is also insulated. The lighting effect is pretty amazing. See attached. I have seen forum posts for other renderers and wanted to see if anyone has any ideas here. I figured that I would have to build up the panel just as the actual product is done and try to find a rice paper like translucent effect.
Here is the company's website:

Cheers!
Rudy

Re: Kalwall Material
A similar thing was done here: http://twilightrender.com/phpBB3/viewto ... f=13&t=363
Re: Kalwall Material
use the translucent leaf template and set Opacity in Sketchup to 10 or 20 percent but leave default scattering at 90 percent. this should work when your model is a single face.
