Important Notice: Vista 64 bit and Windows 7 64 bit users must re-request their licenses in order to use this and future updates. We apologize for the inconvenience and will try to process your licenses quickly. Only 64 bit users are affected.

The following updates and changes have been made:
  • Improved memory usage to support larger image resolution
    • Memory savings based on image size; better memory usage for large images, as much as 40% reduction.
    • Image refresh frequency reduced (every 10 sec vs every 2 sec)
      • Improves render time by reducing image processing overhead
      • Larger images update less frequently
      • Closing the render window reduces the render frequency by 10x (100 sec vs 10 sec)
      • Manually refresh render via image context menu
  • Support for projected textures
  • Image display can be "fit" into the render window
    • Right click on the rendered image, select "Fit image to screen"
  • Changes to the "Generic" material type to prevent "unrealistic" appearance
  • Fixed the positioning problem resulting from some ruby scripts
  • Changes to some presets
    • Improved Clay presets
    • Changes to lower end presets to solve image alpha problem
    • Changes to lower end presets for caustics
  • Fix for textured materials that disappear when alpha is less than 50
  • Added descriptions to material libraries and cleaned up the names of materials in distributed libraries
  • The temp directory is emptied every time SketchUp is restarted
  • Some small GUI changes
We are also providing an alternate "legacy" GUI for users who have lower end graphics hardware or prefer a more traditional Windows appearance.
