Pro V2 - Saving other than JPG, and Update Checker in Sketchup Make

Post by yellow » Sun Aug 21, 2016 12:33 pm

Howdy!

Hey, I'm an avid fan of Twilight and have a registered version of Pro V2. In short, it's been an amazing tool over the years. :D

Got a couple of odd problems behavior-wise:

1) When saving a render, it *only* allows JPG as an option.
2) When checking for updates, a dialog comes up that says, "Checking for Updates" in the header and "An error has occurred" with "Close/Cancel" buttons.

Every other Pro feature works just fine (render in any size, no watermarks, full control over materials editor, etc.), but the JPG thing is baffling and is an inconvenience when generating output for print that has to be cleaned up due to compression glitches.

SKETCHUP INFO: Sketchup Make, Version: 16.0.19912; 64-bit

TWILIGHT INFO: Version: Twilight Render Plugin for Trimble Sketchup, Version 2.4.5 Professional.

OS: Windows 10, x64

This isn't critical, but would be nice if there was a quick fix someone might have run across.

You haven't activate Twilight Render V2 Pro with a valid license. (The V1 license is not valid for V2.) The other things you listed aren't Pro features. They are the standard feature set that comes with V2 Hobby and unactivated Pro. A comprehensive comparison of features can be found here: https://www.twilightrender.com/index.ph ... bby-vs-pro

The 'check for updates' option has been problematic, especially on OSX. It may be removed in the future.
