Animated materials other than GIF sequence??
Hi,
I wanted to find out how to use a sequence of jpg's for an animated material. Or any other Format other than GIF.
GIFs are too low quality to use jn a 3d walktheough I need to animate and I can't s em to get a set of new mbered jpg's to sequence animate on the screen of a model tv.
Is it possible to get an update that allows mp4, avi, mov, etc to be used to animate a material???
Please help!
Thanks!

Re: Animated materials other than GIF sequence??
Twilight Render is supposed to support a sequence of numbered still images (like "tv_001.jpg", "tv_002.jpg", etc). But it looks like there is a bug and it isn't working correctly. We will get that fixed.
Twilight Render does not support using movies as sequences however. Decoding images to individual frames would require including some kind of movie decoding package (which typically require open-source or have bizarre license requirements).

Hey Chris,
Is there any chance I can get an ETA for the next version with the jpg sequence fixed?
I need to relay the date to my client.
Thanks again for your help!

What operating system are you using? 64 or 32 bit? We can't do a full release right now (trying to get some big updates done) but if you are using the Hobby version (esp. on Windows), I can probably build an installer for you in the next couple of days.

Do you have a license for pro? Do you know you can upgrade your forum account to give you access to special resources and technical help? viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3075

Hi Chris,
This my pro user account. Will this allow me any access to fix the JPEG sequence bug?

Sorry, I didn't mean to create any confusion.
I can make a Hobby installer pretty easily with the bug fix. But releasing the Pro installer will be more difficult. It's not about getting access to it, but rather about making sure I update the right installer.
I can have the Hobby installer updated by Monday (MDT). The Pro installer will take more time.
