I'm in Australia (you know, "Throw another kangaroo on the barbeque".....yeh, that place...!!)

Often i post in here during the day (my day of course)......and, from the other side of the planet, people are posting new topics or responding to topics when, theoretically, they should be getting some well earned sleep....!!!

.....yes Fletch, you are one of them....!!!.....i don't know what it is you are taking, but perhaps you can tell us..... :!:

......Solo is another, and so too is Equadorian....!!

.....don't get me wrong, I love quick responses, but I don't expect it......I'm more than content with waiting until the next day before I get some help.... :!:

Love you guys (in a blokey, non-gay kinda of way, of course).......!!!

Cheers & many thanks from down under,

Gareth

Well, I'm from the States, but am living in Europe currently so... It's only the middle of the day here. But it's true about the people you mentioned and others around here, we don't sleep much.

Gareth, you are right, well noticed.

I actually have a recent thread about it at SCF: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtop ... 79&t=22268

My internal clock is busted.

Hi, Gareth.

Yeah, I've been staying up to 3, 4, and even 5am doing experiments with Twilight. It's just an effect of its being new, and the fact that there seem to be infinite tricks waiting to be discovered. I should soon be stabilizing, if I start to follow my own advice in Pete's insomnia thread.

Oh, and until I decide to elaborate on it and post it, here's a trick for you:
You can have "dummy" foliage for your trees that shows in SketchUp's view but force it not to render by turning off its layer inside Twilight's render window. And you can have high-poly foliage that doesn't show in SketchUp's view but renders in Twilight by just placing it in a hidden layer (hidden in SketchUp, not in Twilight) inside a component.
Try it with this tree, which already has a "dummy foliage" layer. (Credit to Kwistenbiebel for the tree)
