Re: Trees as Black surfaces
These are the same trees marvins_dad had trouble with before. All you have to do is replace the .tga texture with this one:
You make the change here:
Re: Trees as Black surfaces
Yes but where have you find this one?
And in what folder was the tga?

Re: Trees as Black surfaces
You just need to press the button I spotlighted in the last post and load the .png material I'm posting here. Et voilá:
Re: Trees as Black surfaces
In SU you use the "Sample paint" (eye drop tool) from the Material menu...
Then click the part of the model, where the texture is...
Click the "In model" icon in the material editor and double-click the texture you need to edit...
Next to the box, where the texture file is, you have an icon showing a box with an arrow (the "Edit texture image in external editor")
Click this icon and open the texture in the editor associated to it and save the texture image from .tga to .jpg...
Should be fairly simple...

Re: Trees as Black surfaces
Save the posted tree .png and use the material edior in SketchUp to select the .png
Should then look like the render on the right.

Re: Trees as Black surfaces
Ok
But why this appear ? TGA has no transparency?
And for the next time does this tree.png will be always in this "temp" file or it's erased between each restart of SU?
Edit seems erased at each time

Re: Trees as Black surfaces
TGA has transparency, but Twilight can't read it.
I guess I'm a bit late with this...

Re: Trees as Black surfaces
Yes i have understood the process
That I want to know is where is the original texture tga "embeded"
in the SKP file then in the temp Twilight folder? or...
So now solution is resave the new file with the new png file?
for avoid to change it at each time ?
And where was (in what folder (SU, Twilight, hidden...the tga) for make the png that you post above ?

Re: Trees as Black surfaces
Once you change it it's permanent, Pilou. At least in SU 7.1.
To extract the .tga, just export as Kerkythea XML to a folder. All the textures should be there in their original formats.
